We are pleased to invite abstract submissions for the ComBio 2026 Conference.
Please review the below instructions and details in the abstract
submission portal before preparing and submitting an abstract.
Presenting authors are limited to two abstract submissions, however, may be listed as co-contributors on other abstract submissions.

When making your submission, you'll be asked to nominate your preference for presentation format and you can select oral, oral or poster or poster only. Some presentations may also be selected by the Committee to be shared as a lightning presentations (oral and poster).
Oral presentations will be selected for inclusion in symposia related to the 7 conference streams. An oral presentation may be delivered by one presenting author only and 15 minutes (12 minutes + 3 minutes for q&a) will be allocated to the presentation. Abstracts not selected for oral presentations may be eligible for a poster presentation.
A poster presentation constitutes a visual display of research projects. The Poster Gallery will be located in the Exhibition with posters on display for the entirety of the Conference. There will be two dedicated poster viewing sessions aligned with the Conference streams when authors will be at their posters to discuss their research with other delegates. Details of the
format of the posters will be shared when offers are made.
The Committee will select a limited number of submissions to be included in the program as Lightning Talks - a brief oral presentation and a poster.

Once submitted, abstracts can be amended via the portal up until the submission deadline of 5pm Monday 13 April 2026.
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Committee and assessed by the following criteria:
• Offers significant contributions to understanding an area of biomolecular science
• Represents an innovative area of current research
• Avoids taking a narrow representation on the topic (the Committee carefully avoids perception of bias towards own perspective)
• Has broad enough appeal to assist in attracting strong participation in the Conference.
• Involves scientists of diverse career stage, culture and gender
Abstract review results will be communicated to the nominated author on Wednesday 3 June 2026.
Please note the details provided as the author contact should be for the
nominated main contact for your abstract and all correspondence will be directed to this person.
Acceptance of this offer must be notified to the Conference Office by no later than 5pm on Friday 19 June 2026 year.
The invitation to submit an abstract does not constitute an offer to pay travel,
accommodation or registration costs associated with the
Conference.
Presentations must be delivered in person and the ability and willingness to
present at the Conference is a condition of acceptance
into the program.
The nominated presenter of a successful abstract
submission is required to register to attend the Conference no later than Monday 29 June 2026 to be included in the program.
